System 390 IBM 2003 Multiprise 2000
The IBM S/390 Multiprise 2000 uses CMOS technology and is supported by OS/390, VSE/ESA and VM/ESA operating systems. An affordable priced solution, the Multiprise 2000 is built upon the strengths of existing S/370(TM) and S/390 platforms. It is a cost-effective way to replace installed 43XX, 308X, 3090, ES/9000 9221, 9121 and 9021 340-based processors or PCMs to assist in moving to the latest hardware and software technologies to be positioned for future growth.
The S/390 Multiprise 2000 provides a wide range of performance, many advanced functions and an optional Internal Disk solution to provide affordable high-performance computing. These general purpose machines are for use in a stand-alone environment, however, are eligible for PSLC pricing using ICMF in an OS/390 environment. Customers will not need physical coupling links or a stand-alone 9674 Coupling Facility to be eligible for this offering.
